Powder Coating and Wet Paint
Powder coating is a type of coating applied as a free flowing dry powder. Powder Coating is applied electrostatically and is then cured at extremely high temperature.
This process creates a hard finish that is tougher than conventional pain. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminum extrusions, and automobile and bicycle parts.
The powder coating process involves three basic steps:
-Part preparation or pre-treatment
-Powder application
-Curing
All parts must be free of paint and rust prior to coating. One method of preparing the surface is known as abrasive blasting or sandblasting.
At All Metals and Plastics Paint Service Company we can powder coat any metal that can take up to 400 degrees of heat and is up to 8 1/2 ft long.
There are many colors to choose from but black is one of the most popular colors. Turn around time depends on many factors, which includes size of order, color and current workload.
All Metals and Plastic paint service company is family owned company that was founded in 1988 and we have been servicing the Metro Detroit area since then.
